Many people say not to judge a book by it’s cover, but let’s be honest for a second, we all judge books by their covers. Think of covers as an advertisement. If the cover catches your eye, you’ll probably pick it up to read what it’s about. Book covers are a first impression to the reader, and often times, I won’t pick up a book unless I like the cover. Here are some of my favorites:
I’m sure there are a bunch more books that are as, if not more, beautiful than the ones shown above.
If you know me, I’m a sucker when it comes to pretty covers. Even if I own the book in the digital form, if the cover is appealing, I’ll probably also buy a physical copy. Many people, especially my family, think I’m crazy when I tell them I own several copies of one book. It’s a waste of money, you think. But that’s not true. This money supports the author and the store you bought it from. In addition to all the support, you have your own beautiful book that you can stare at as long as you want without having to go to a store or online.
I dunno… I think I have a problem.
