In a month, Austin is going to host the Texas Teen Book Festival. If you don’t know what it is, it’s basically a place where a group of authors come together and do panels, signings, activities, etc. If you’re interesting in going, check out the official website at http://texasteenbookfestival.org. The full schedule (and the more mobile-friendly version) and the authors who are attending are listed on the website.
Here is the general information about the event:
Date: Saturday, September 26
Time: 8:30 am – 6:30 pm
Location: St. Edward’s University
( 3001 S Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704 )
Thankfully, unlike last year, they are hosting the signings and book sales inside instead of outside in a blazing hot parking lot where everyone melted or fried like an egg in the driveway on a hot summer day. Yup. It’s was pretty bad last year, but it was totally worth it.
This year, there are going to be authors like Pierce Brown, Andrew Smith, Morgan Matson, Rick Yancey, Jenny Han, and Jesse Andrews.
There are many other authors that you may know that might be there, so make sure to check out the website!!
For those who missed the little memo, you can get three of your personal books signed for every one book you buy at the festival.
