Top Ten Tuesday: Facts About Me

This week’s topic: Facts about me

I would’ve done ten book-ish facts about me, but then I realized that I couldn’t think of enough. So I just decided to do random facts about me instead.

1. I’m a self-taught artist.

As a child, I was always drawing. I loved creating new thints. Because I hated reading back then, I drew my own worlds and characters. Over the years, I continued to draw. It was what got me through some of my classes (and it still does). All my math assignments had doodles on it. I’ve never been in an art class, and I learned (more) about how to draw my studying pictures and the outside when I’m in the car.

2. I’m not that good at it, though.

Yeah… I still have a long way to go. I’m still learning about shading, shadows, etc.

3. I’m dipping my toe into digital art.

I’m been trying digital art here and there, but this is the first time I’m actually committing myself to trying it, if that makes any sense. Ever since I got a tumblr and saw all the amazing fan art, I wanted to give it a go. I’m still trying to get used to the change, but I don’t think it’s going too bad.

4. The #1 adjective used to describe me is “weird”.

Seriously. If you ask any person that knows me, the first thing they will tell you is that I’m weird.

5. I like making lists.

They make me feel in control of my life. Plus, crossing something off a to-do list is so satisfying. It’s almost like a reward system. After I complete something and cross it off the list, it makes me want to start finishing the other things on the list so I can cross them off. I even have a spiral solely dedicated to lists.

6. I’ve been called different names more times than I’ve been called my actual name.

If I had a dollar for every time I was called someone else’s name, I would be a very rich person. I’ve been called Jennifer so many times to count that I respond to that name as well. It’s kind of sad.

7. I wear glasses.

Apparently, one of my eyes is near-sighted while the other is far-sighted. However, I’m not 100% sure if that’s true. Either way, I still need glasses. I don’t wear them all day, but I have to wear them in order to drive, read menus on the wall at restaurants, etc.

8. I hate clowns.

They’re just… no. They look too happy to the point it’s a little creepy.

9. I’m vertically challenged.

Yeah. I’m super short. I never really had a growth spurt so… yeah. I’m vertically challenged.

10. Mother Nature is against me.

I can’t be outside in the sun for long or else I start breaking out into rashes. I can’t wear sunscreen because I have an allergic reaction to it. I’m also allergic to the very tree that’s right next to the front door of my house. On top of that, bugs really love to bite my legs. I don’t why.
