Top 5 Wednesday: Books I Want to Read Before the End of the Year

image

School started for me this week, and I’ve been super busy with all the assignments my teachers have assigned me (even though it’s only been two days). I don’t think I’ll be able to post much, but I’m planning on posting at least twice a week.

Anyway!

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Thoughts on Tomes and created by Lainey @ Ginger Reads Lainey. You can check out the group’s Goodreads page to join and check out the topics of the month.

This Week’s Topic: Books I want to read before this year is over

A Gathering of Shadows FinalA Gathering of Shadows (Shades of Magic, #2) by V.E. Schwab

I’ve had this book for forever now, but I haven’t started it yet. I need to read it soon. I loved the first book, and I heard so many great things about this one. I want to start it, but school is unfortunately currently happening right now. Hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze it into the weekend.

Ghostly Echoes (Jackaby, #3) by William Ritter

I love the Jackaby series so much, and the third book just came out yesterday. I NEED TO GET MY HANDS ON IT RIGHT THIS INSTANT! As usual, I forgot to preorder it. I swear, I surround myself with books and bookish information but I never once think about preordering books until after they come out. Regardless, I really, REALLY want to read this book.

The Hero of Ages (Mistborn, #3) by Brandon Sanderson

I don’t want to spend six months on this book. I really don’t. I spent half a year on The Well of Ascension, and that wasn’t fun at all. I don’t plan to do that with this book, but that means that I’ll have to wait until I have a really long break (maybe during Thanksgiving break I’ll read it).

With the movie of the first book, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, coming out this November, I want to finish the whole series before I start watching the movies. I only have this last book to read, and hopefully I’ll get it done before the movie comes out in  theaters.

Opposition (Lux, #5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I’ve been reading this series for a long time now. I read one book (in the series) a year until last year when I broke that streak and read two books. I want to finish the series soon to see how Jennifer L. Armentrout decided to conclude it. I loved the previous five books, and I know I’m going to like this last one too. I just need to find some time to read it…

Until next time….

I love the series so much! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before, and I think the pictures add a nice touch to the story.
