The Valentine’s Day Book Tag

image

It’s super unusual for me to post two things in one day, but I couldn’t think of a better time to post the Valentine’s Day Book Tag. Thanks to Heather @ The Sassy Book Geek for tagging me! Make sure to check out her blog! She’s an amazing person!

The creator of this tag is CC’s Books on BookTube.

1. Stand-alone Book You Love

I don’t know a lot of people who doesn’t like To Kill a Mockingbird. It’s a classic. Even some of my peers that don’t like reading enjoyed this one. That says something.

2. Dystopian Book You Love

I really love The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. It’s a blend of dystopia and fairy tales. The main reason I love this series so much is because of the characters. I have a strong attachment to all of them. Except the villains. I love to hate them.

3. A Book That You Love But No One Else Talks About

image

I’m not sure if it’s because no one knows about this series or maybe because they don’t like it, but I haven’t seen a lot of talk about the Jackaby series. I believe this series deserves more love than it’s getting. I love it because it slightly reminds me of Sherlock. Plus, there’s this cute romance that’s happening. I’m not sure if it’s going to play out (because it’s a minor part of the story), but I really hope it does.

4. Favorite Book Couple

I have too many. Here are a couple (pun intended):

Rowan + Aelin
Feyre + Rhysand
Inej + Kaz
Katy + Ezra
Percy + Annabeth
all of the Lunar Chronicle couples

…just to list a few of the many OTPs I have.

5. Book That Other People Love But You Haven’t Read Yet

I’ve heard so many great things about Simon VS the Homo Sapiens Agenda, but I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. My friend recently finished and loved it. She’s been badgering me constantly to hurry up and read it.

6. A Book with Red on the Cover

All of these have a romantic relationship in them.

7. A Book with Pink on the Cover

All of these also have romantic relationships in them.

8. You were given a box of chocolates. What fictional boyfriend/girlfriend would given them to you?

Funny thing, my previous post was about book boyfriends. I guess you could choose any from the list I provided in that post.

9. You are single on Valentine’s Day. What book would you read? What TV show would you watch? What movie would you watch?

10. You are in the book store. All of a sudden you get shot with an arrow by Cupid. What new release will you love?

I’m anticipating that I’m going to be blown away by The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. John Green was raving about it in one of his Vlogbrothers videos (shout out to all the Nerdfighters whoop whoop!) and so I have really high hopes for it.

I was really excited about the Jackaby series when it first came out, but I just haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. Hopefully soon, because it sounds really good! Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤

Thanks for doing the tag Jessica!
I have a copy of Jackaby that’s waiting to be read currently but I think it sounds awesome and I’m sure I’ll love it, I definitely don’t see it talked about too much either which is a shame.
I also loved the couple pun you made!
You chose a lot of awesome books with pink and red on the cover most of them are on my TBR! 😁
