Winter 2016-17 Book Haul

I didn’t get as many books as I normally do, which is good. I’m trying to cut down the number of physical books I buy and slowly convert to ebooks because they’re cheaper and easier to carry around.

Unbroken

Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand

I got this for this book club at school I was going to participate in but I ended up not going because I was too busy.

The Chosen

The Chosen by Chaim Potok

I had to read this for my English class and enjoyed this more than I expected to.

Survivors Club

Survivors Club: The True Story of a Very Young Prisoner of Auschwitz by Michael Bornstein and Debbit Bornstein Holinstat (ARC)

I received this ARC in the mail and was super excited because I love reading about WWII. However, I had to set it down a couple times because it was really sad (I know that’s an understatement). I still haven’t finished it because I’m scared that I’ll start crying if I continue to read it.

You are Here

You Are Here by Jenny Lawson (sampler)

I won this in a giveaway and the artwork in here is stunning!

More Happy Than Not

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

I got this because Adam Silvera was going to be at the book festival I was attending. I wanted to read at least one of his books before meeting him, so I chose his first one. Also, my friend was pestering me constantly to read it.

Until next time….

Thanks! I already met him early this month, which was super fun. You should read his books. I’ve only read More Happy Than Not and loved it!
