I don’t really check my phone in the morning or even during the day since I’m at school and my phone doesn’t work inside the school. So when I got home and opened up my Instagram to see Sarah J. Maas’ new post, I was like:
I’m a little late to this but Sarah J. Maas released the title of the fourth ACOTAR book! I feel like a lot of us were really confused as to what would happen next after the third book, A Court of Wings and Ruin, as Sarah J. Maas said that the last three books would be set in the same world as the first three but follow a different set of characters.
If you want more information about that, I made a post here.
Anyway, without delay, here is the title of the next ACOTAR book!
(Forewarning: there might be teeny, tiny spoilers beyond this point so if you haven’t caught up on the series yet I would not continue.)
I’m not sure exactly what I think about the title other than I’m glad it sticks with the whole A Court of ____ and ____ pattern. It’s very literal in the sense that it takes place during the winter solstice (Frost) and in the Night Court (Starlight). I’m sure there’s more meaning to it than that but we won’t know until the book comes out.
Now, although the caption isn’t too long, I know some people would not want to take the time to read it all so here’s a TL;DR version of it:
ACOFAS is not a full length novel, but it’s longer than a novella. It’s supposed to be the bridging book into the spinoff series. It’s written in mainly Feyre’s and Rhysand’s perspectives and will be released May 2018.
If you want to read a short synopsis of the book, it’s in the caption.
I have a couple questions about the cover in general. Judging how the title reveal is on a green background, does that mean the fourth book is going to be green? I really hope it’s a different color than those of the books already released. Then again, the A Court of Wings and Ruin title reveal had a black background so I guess the background isn’t a hint as to what the cover color is going to be like.
Also, will the cover have the same art style as the first three? Will it continue to portray Feyre in the covers (probably yes for ACOFAS and no for the remaining books)? If Feyre isn’t going to be on the covers of the spinoff series, who’s going to be on the cover? Who will the story follow? Will there be an introduction of new characters (or maybe a child from Feyre and Rhysand?!?!) or will the spinoff series follow some of the more minor characters from the original series?
The reveal gave me a little more information about the story, but it’s left me with more questions than answers.
What do you think of the title?
What do you think will happen in the story?
Who do you think the story will follow?
(Please keep the comment section spoiler free for our friends who haven’t caught up on the series <3)
Until next time….
I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS RELEASE!! โค I'm actually curious to find out what she means by "longer than a novella" – I bet it will still be huge haha
