Captain Marvel Book Tag [ORIGINAL]

In case you’ve been living in an alternate dimension, you probably are aware that the Captain Marvel movie has been released. I watched it the second day it was out, and let me tell you, it hasn’t left my brain yet. I’m still on a high from that movie. It really gives all the other movies a run for their money because it’s a dang good origin story. I’m an easy to please gal, but even I could tell that Captain Marvel was something special.

That being said, I decided to express my love for this movie by doing a book tag. I searched the internet and haven’t found anyone who has already made this, so I decided to make my own. If you want to try this tag out, by all means, go for it! I kept this tag spoiler-free, so you can do this even if you haven’t watched the movie!

RULES:

– Thank the person who tagged you.
– Make sure to tag the creator (The Awkward Book Blogger) so she can see your responses!
– Tag at least three people.
– Have fun!

Feel free to use the graphic at the top of this post!

CAPTAIN MARVEL – Which character would you photon-blast?

Clary from The Mortal Instruments. I’m sorry TMI fans, but Clary was not my favorite character. She made some really… interesting decisions, and throughout the first couple books I wanted to photon-blast some sense into her.

NICK FURY – Genre/series/book you didn’t know existed but wished you discovered earlier?

Admittedly, I already knew Children of Blood and Bone existed, but it wasn’t near the top of my TBR list. I would say that I picked this book up on a whim, but I’d be lying. I actually started reading the book last night (at the time I’m writing this post) because Tomi Adeyemi (the author) is coming to the area I live in pretty soon, and I really want to meet her. Call me a fake fan all you like, but the book so far is SO GOOD. My heart was literally pounding as one of the main characters was sparring or fighting for her life. It will keep you captivated, and I can’t wait to get back into the story after I finish writing this post.

KREE – A team that would fight together and die together?

I’m still in love with the Dregs from the Six of Crows series. They’re basically a bunch of misfits, but you love them all. They’re different in their own unique way, but they will always have each other’s backs. If you want a strong bond between team members, the Dregs would be your prime example.

SKRULLS – Favorite shapeshifting character?

This is sort of a spoiler for the Throne of Glass series if you haven’t read the fourth book, Queen of Shadows. If you don’t want to be spoiled, skip to the next question right about… now. My favorite shapeshifter is Lysandra. In fact, she’s one of the only fictional shapeshifters I can think of. I would put Tonks from the Harry Potter series, but she’s only a metamorphmagus, not an animagus.

SUPREME INTELLIGENCE – Which author (dead or alive) that you love/respect would you see when you visit the Supreme Intelligence?

This is probably a surprise to no one but I would probably see Sarah J. Maas. She’s one of my all-time favorite YA authors, and I’ve enjoyed every story she’s put out so far and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the future.

FLERKEN – Misguiding book cover?

The covers for the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout are cheesy. Trust me, I know. However, it doesn’t do justice for the story. Jennifer L. Armentrout has a way with her writing that hooks you in and keeps you captivated the whole way through. You won’t even know you’re done with the book until you realize there’s no more pages left to flip. Honestly, her books are spellbinding.

FIGHTER JET – Which sweet ride (fictional) would you love to have?

A wyvern from the Throne of Glass series!!! They’re basically dragons, and it would be so cool to be able to fly! Either that or a suit like Iron Man’s so I can propel myself wherever I want to go.

PAGER – In the time of need, which character would you call to save you/the universe?

Rhysand from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas is this super powerful faerie that could essentially help you get out of any situation. If there was someone who could save the world, it would be him.

This is SUCH a fun tag! Would you mind if I did it too? I’m hoping to see Captain Marvel at the cinema this week or next. Also I totally agree with the Six of Crows gang for Kree, their fight scenes in the book are amazing!

The Six of Crows team always had me at the edge of my seat when they were fighting. It was all so intense!

I love this tag and don’t mind me stealing this for my blog. And Children of Blood and Bone is on my TBR for quite a while now.

I really don’t like Clary either. She got on my nerves sooo much when I was reading The Mortal Instruments. The Dregs are amazing! All of them are such amazing characters. 😀 Thank you for tagging me! ❤

I’m glad I’m not the only one who didn’t really liked Clary… I felt like it’s an unpopular opinion with how liked the series is.
The Dregs is honestly one of my favorite YA literary teams!
I hope you give this tag a try! 😊
