The Marvel Avengers Book Tag

THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Endgame is right around the corner. It comes out this weekend! I’m not going to see it when it comes out (because the tickets are all sold out near where I live), but I plan to get a ticket really soon. I’m probably going to have to avoid the internet until I watch the movie to avoid spoilers.

Anyways, I thought a good way to celebrate my inner fangirl’s impending doom is to do a tag celebrating the heroes that started it all.

Iron Man – a book that made you laugh out loud:

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han is so cute and Lara Jean and Kitty made me laugh at loud so many times.

Captain American – a book that sends a positive message:

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. I feel like I don’t have to explain this one.

Thor – a book with a character’s strength you admire:

Aelin from the Throne of Glass series is SO. STRONG. Almost inhumanly strong.

Black Widow – a book with a kick-ass female protagonist:

All the females in The Illuminae Files are badass in their own unique ways. Each book in the series highlights one boy and girl (and some side characters), and you can’t help but fall in love with all of them and their toughness.

Hulk – a book that made you incredibly angry:

Here me out. I’m not angry at this series because it’s bad. I’m angry because they made me fall in love with the characters and then proceed to kill them off. Not cool. Not cool at all.

Hawkeye – an underrated book you think more people should pay attention to:

The Lux series! The covers look cheesy, but the series is honestly SO GOOD. Please, do yourself a favor and read it.

Black Panther – a book that showcases another culture:

I recently saw a post on Instagram and someone was raving about Children of Blood and Bone and how it brings Nigerian culture to literature. I know nothing about Nigerian culture, but I’m excited to learn!

Spider-Man – favorite new book of the year:

Check, Please! is so wholesome. If you want something that brings a warm feeling in your soul and a smile on your face, this is the book for you.

*BONUS* Loki – a book with a twist or surprise that tricked you:

Wildcard by Marie Lu has more twists and turns than you would expect. You think the last twist was the biggest one of the story, but then… BAM… Marie Lu hits you with another one.
