Hello, lovelies! This week’s post is going to be a quick one.
The short version of this post: please recommend some good graphic novels that you love (preferably middle grade/young adult graphic novels, but adult ones are okay too!)
The long version:
If you’re friends with me on Goodreads, you probably know that I love reading graphic novels. It makes up a good chunk of the books that I read. I like to borrow some from the library whenever I know I won’t have time to finish a novel but still want to read.
Now, I’ve read a bunch of graphic novels, but I’m running out of them in my TBR. I need more recommendations. Here are some graphic novels that I have read so you can get an idea of what I generally grab:
- Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
- Lumberjanes series by Shannon Watters
- Teen Titans: Raven by Kami Garcia
- Ms. Marvel series by G. Willow Wilson
- Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell
- Saga series by Brian K. Vaughan
- Check, Please! series by Ngozi Ukazu
Thanks in advanced, everyone!
Until next time….
Graphic novels! I really like the following:
– Noelle Stevenson has a graphic novel memoir coming out in March called “The Fire Never Goes Out”
– Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me
– Heavy Vinyl
– Giant Days
– DC Bombshells
I haven’t read the “Runaways” series, but I’ve heard almost all good things.

Ummm to large collections of marvel comics count as “graphic novels” cause I recently read a bunch of Ms Marvel collected into one book and it was amazing. I also recently finished several Squirrel Girl comics. Does this qualify????

Yes I consider comics as a part of the graphic novel realm. I love the Ms. Marvel series and I’m going to have to check out Squirrel Girl. Thanks for the recs!

Oh this is easy!
– The Autumnlands (2 book series)
– Invisible Republic (3 books, now on hiatus)
– Habitat (stand alone)
– Prophet (5 books)
Also, I see you like Saga, Brian Vaughan has another series called Paper Girls. In my opinion, a tighter plot, a lot less pandering, and concludes in 4 volumes.
