The Awesome Blogger Award

Hello, lovelies! How are you guys? I’m really exhausted, and can’t wait for spring to come. Right now, the weather where I live has been very bipolar, from being super cold one day and hot the next. It’s not awesome.

Lauren’s Questions

Have you ever quit a fandom because it got too toxic? If so, which one was it and what was the final straw?

I don’t think I’ve ever quit a fandom because of the community. Sure, I’ve stop being in fandoms when I grew bored of them, but I’ve never really come across a fandom that’s toxic. Maybe it’s because I don’t actively partake in the internet fandom culture. The most I do is read the books, watch the TV/movie adaptations, and admire fan art. That’s about it. I don’t talk about it on Twitter. I don’t post about it on Instagram. I don’t really go diving into the internet to find lore.

If forced to read a genre you don’t pick up often for a month, which genre would you choose?

Contemporary. There are a lot of awesome YA contemporary novels out there that I still haven’t read because my priorities are on the fantasy and sci-fi genres.

Describe your blogging space. Do you blog in multiple spaces?

Well… my blog is very unstable. I will go for weeks on end without posting, and then post maybe three times the next week. It’s a casual thing, since I do this out of my love for books. This isn’t my job. I don’t get paid to do this. So yeah, it’s casual here. This is the only place I blog since I don’t think I could keep up with more than one space. I can barely keep up with this one, at that.

Cooking: a fun experiment or a tedious waste of time?

A little bit of both? I guess it depends on my level of energy. If I have enough energy at the end of the day to cook, then yeah, cooking is fun. If I’m tired, cooking seems like a waste of what little energy I have left.

Someone just offered to make you your favorite drink and play your favorite movie. What are you drinking and watching?

Ooh. I’m a big fan of hot chocolate. I don’t drink if often since it’s really bad for you but it’s a delicious drink. I would probably be watching anything either Disney animations, Marvel (which is technically under Disney), or a movie from Studio Ghibli.

What’s your favorite part of your morning routine?

My favorite part of my morning routine is when I’m finished. Mornings suck. I hate waking up. I take a long time getting ready because I’m so tired, but for some reason I perk right up when I’m done with my whole morning routine.

Which recent bestseller do you feel is overrated?

I’m not sure. I haven’t really read any books that I didn’t feel like deserved the hype that it received.

Which recent bestseller do you feel is underrated?

It’s not too recent, but I think The Burning Shadow by Jennifer L. Armentrout is pretty underrated. Granted, since it’s the second book, it’s going to have even less amount of ratings than the first. I still think not enough people have experienced the magic that is Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Lux world. The series (and the Lux series) is seriously so good and I hope that some of you guys decide to take a leap of faith and try and read it.

How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?

I don’t. I’m single currently, but even if I wasn’t, I don’t think I would celebrate Valentine’s Day. I dunno, it’s a weird holiday that I don’t really believe in celebrating.

What song gets you pumped up? Would you listen to said song on loop while writing?

I don’t write, but I like to listen to any of the Studio Ghibli movie soundtracks when I’m working on assignments for classes. They’re instrumental, and they’re so vivid and expressive. It takes me to my happy place so I can be a little less miserable while writing all my papers for class.

Hot chocolate is the best! It’s a little treat that I indulge in when the weather is cold ❤

I loved reading these! I also have a weird relationship with cooking. I don’t hate it completely, but I don’t really enjoy doing it, I guess it depends on the days. :/ Thanks for tagging me, I’m looking forward to answering your questions, but I can tell some of them will take a loooong time hahaha

I’m the same way. If I have enough energy to cook I will do it. But if I don’t have enough energy, cooking feels like a chore 😣

Hahaha I chose some really weird questions that’ll take some though. Sorry about that! 😆
