April 2020 Wrap-Up | The Awkward Book Blogger

Hello, fellow kids! How’s it going?

We are still quarantined (at the time I’m writing this), but from what I heard from the news that’s going to change in the near future. Much like last month, because we were encouraged to stay at home unless absolutely necessary, I found myself with more free time than I knew what to do with. Most of the time I just turned to reading, so much so that I feel a reading slump coming in. More on that later, though.

For now, let’s get on with the wrap-up!

Life Update

It’s almost May, and we are in the homestretch with classes. I have about a week of exams left before I’m done for the semester! From what I know, my town is going to start opening up shops soon. I’m not sure how I feel about it, but you can bet your bottom dollar I’m still staying inside whenever I can. While we are fortunate to not have too many cases of the virus, I’m not taking my chances.

So now the question is, with classes done, what the heck will I do for my summer break? Most breaks I’d hang out with my friends who are not on vacation, but I’m not sure that’s a viable option anymore. If I’m not hanging out with my friends or family, I’m usually reading. I think I went a little overboard this month with books, and I feel like I’m in a slight reading slump at the moment. I’m just not interested in reading any of the books I have in hand right now, which sucks. There’s only so many things a gal can do. Hopefully my need to read will spring back up again sometime soon.

Other than that, it’s been the same old, same old. I’m not entirely sure how long it’s been since I’ve left the house now because all the days are blending together. I have no concept of time anymore.

I hope everyone is in good health and doing okay with this whole quarantine thing. Just know that you’re not alone and we’ll get through this together!

Until next time….

Woah that’s super impressive! I don’t think I’ve ever read that many books in a month. Hopefully this month has treated you well and thanks for stopping by! ❀

I’m hoping my reading slump goes away soon too >.<
I think I'd go insane if I can't read while staying inside all day.

Hope your reading month is going smoother than mine is right now! πŸ˜€

I’m also not taking any chances and I’m staying home whenever I can. Small shops and businesses are now allowed to open here, but I’m definitely staying home. Unfortunately, people don’t know how to follow the rules – over the weekend, the weather was really nice and everyone ran to the streets and the beach! I’m planning on studying, taking free online courses and read a lot. Those are probably my plans for summer as well lmao. πŸ˜›

I went outside the other day to grab some groceries, and I saw so many people roaming around without masks on. It makes me even more nervous to go outside now that I know people aren’t taking the situation seriously. >.<

Sounds like you have some pretty solid plans for this spring/summer! I've been painting more to deal with my boredom. Please stay safe! ❀
