July 2021 wrap-up

July felt both very long and very short at the same time. I don’t know how to explain it. It feels like it’s been July for forever, but at the same time I feel like this month has gone by so quickly.

Anyway! Confusing feelings aside, it’s time for the July wrap up!

Reading Goals

July goals:

❌ read four books from physical TBR
❌ One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston
❌ Crying in H-Mart by Michelle Zauner or We Free the Stars by Hafsah Faizal
❌ The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green
✅ Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim
✅ do not buy any books this month

I didn’t read as much as I wanted to this month. My goals for August are going to be a little less ambitious 😅

August goals:

read two books from physical TBR
do not buy any books

# of books left in my physical TBR: 18

While I managed to read a few physical copies on my shelf, I also gained a few as prizes thanks to the summer reading program at my local library. Once again, I’m back at 18 books 😅

Life Update

July was weirdly chill yet hectic. I’ve finished my summer classes, so I’ve been enjoying my time on summer break by doing absolutely nothing but watch YouTube videos all day. It’s to the point that I feel like I have nothing left to watch. I haven’t had a summer break where I had no responsibilities/work since middle school, so it’s been nice to truly relax.

The reason this month has also been hectic is because I’ve been getting ready to move next month. I’ve been packing up and preparing everything I need. Coordinating with my roommate has been a little bit difficult since we can’t plan in-person right now, but we’re slowly making progress.

Other than that, nothing has been going on. I’ll probably be a little less active next month as I move and get ready for the new semester, but I have some posts scheduled that I’m super excited to share! They’re all a little stupid but silly posts that I hope you guys enjoy!

How was your month? Was it good? Bad?
What are you looking forward to in August?

Loved this wrap up! I’m glad you enjoyed Six Crimson Cranes because I’m been looking forward to that one! Also that’s amazing that you didn’t buy any new books this month cause I could never! I brought 5 this month haha

Six Crimson Cranes was so good! I’m sad we have to wait another year before the sequel is released, because I’m dying to know what happens next!

Honestly, I’m not sure how I managed to not buy any books this month. I usually don’t have this much self control XD

I never have self control when it comes to books haha. I have over 20+ books on my physical TBR
