Hey, internet land! I feel like it’s been a hot minute since I’ve written a post. Most of what’s been going up this past month has been stuff I’ve written in the past and scheduled in case there was a week I didn’t have time to write something.
Turns out, this month I had many weeks where I didn’t have the time or energy to create a post, but more on that later.

Goals
There been a lot going on in my life at the moment, so I wasn’t able to meet my monthly goal for September
Goal:
❌ read four books from physical TBR
# of books left in my physical TBR: 15
I’m not going to set any reading goals for the month of October (see life update to see why).

Currently Reading

The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson
I’m only a few chapters in this novel and it’s really good so far! I’m still in the very beginning of the novel, so I have no idea where Brandon Sanderson is going to take this series, but I’m excited to find out. I haven’t had a lot of time to dedicate to reading, but I hope to get this book done by the end of October.

Life Update
Hey all! I haven’t been active on the book blog-o-sphere this past month, and it has been for a multitude of reasons. For one, I’m taking more classes than I’m used to this semester, so I’ve been trying to adjust to the new, heavier workload. I’ve also been super busy (much busier than I’m used to) with new (and exciting?) responsibilities as an org officer and research assistant. I’ve been spending the last few weeks trying to find a good workflow that works for me.
I got some sad news a few days ago: a friend of mine from high school passed away. This all felt very sudden, and so currently I want to spend time to grieve. I don’t think I can reasonably blog while juggling my emotions and student/work responsibilities right now, so I’m taking a break. I don’t know when I’ll be back, but hopefully soon.
I hope your September has been good, and that everyone has an amazing October as well.

Stay awkward and amazing!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Take as much time as you need to grieve, it’s always a strange process and I’m glad you’re giving yourself the space to do so. 💔

So sorry for loss! I lost a friend in college and took it really hard even though we weren’t that close. Take time for yourself and be gentle, take it one day at a time. We’ll be here when you get back!
