A Court of Thorns and Roses series recap (books 1 – 3.1)

I don’t know about you, but it’s been a hot minute since I’ve read the ACOTAR series. In honor of the newest book, A Court of Silver Flame, coming out next week, I thought I’d summarize what has happened in the last three books (and one short story) for anyone who needs a refresher before book 4. I’m going to yada yada a lot of the series, but that being said…

THERE ARE MAJOR SPOILERS FOR A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES, A COURT OF MIST AND FURY, A COURT OF WINGS AND RUIN, AND A COURT OF FROST AND STARLIGHT!

You have been warned.

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d1/e9/9a/d1e99a1fa5111728e2539030a88a754a.jpg

Heyo, internet land! I was perusing the anticipated releases of this year to add more books to my TBR, and I thought I’d share a couple of the YA diverse reads that I’m excited for!

[Edit: I realized that by the time this is uploaded, a good chunk of these books are already going to be released (I drafted this post early January). That means some of these books aren’t anticipated releases anymore. I still hope you’re able to find a book you’ve never heard of that you’re interested in.]

Good morning/afternoon/evening/whatever time of day it is right now! If you’re new here, you might not know that Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite authors. I believe she’s the most-reviewed author on this blog at the time I’m writing this.

So you might have guessed how excited I was when I saw that the Grace and Glory (a.k.a the last book in The Harbinger trilogy) cover was revealed today!

Most Anticipated Releases of 2020

I know we’re already a month and a half into 2020, but I still wanted to create a post fangirling over the books I’m excited about that’s coming out this year. I’m not going to include any books that have already been released this year in between January 1 and February 16 (the day I’m writing this post) because technically they’re not anticipated releases anymore.

Because some of these books I’m going to be talking about is not the first book in its series, I hid all the blurbs in a drop down that you can click to reveal just so I don’t accidentally spoil anyone who doesn’t want to be spoiled.

Anywho, let’s get excited about some new books!

News on Jennifer L. Armentrout’s New Book | The Awkward Book Blogger

A couple days ago, I got an email. A newsletter, to be exact, from the one and only Jennifer L. Armentrout. If you’re no stranger, you know that Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite young adult authors. I think she holds the record of the most books reviewed on this blog (don’t quote me on that… I’m not actually sure and I’m too tired to double check).

Anywho, she announced in her most recent newsletter that she has working on a novel that she mysteriously named FB&A. It’s probably the first letter of each word in the title if I had to guess, but that name doesn’t give us much about the actual story.

Here’s what Armentrout was willing to share with us.

YA Author Upcoming Release Compilation

If you’re anything like me, you are the last person to know about new releases and book news. I don’t have a lot of social media to keep up with the authors, and I don’t use the ones that I follow authors on that frequently. To be completely honest, it’s a lot to keep track of all the new releases and things that are going on so I decided to take some of my favorite and (I think) well-known YA authors and compile all their upcoming releases.

Some of the information I got off of posts on the authors’ social media or websites (which I’ll link in this post) and others I got off of Goodreads. I can’t guarantee that I will catch all the stories their working on but hopefully this will give you an overview of what to expect.

The authors I’m covering in this post are:

Cassandra Clare || Leigh Bardugo || Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff || Marie Lu
Sarah J. Maas || Tahereh Mafi|| Rainbow Rowell || Adam Silvera
Angie Thomas || Nicola Yoon

At the bottom of the post I put a timeline-ish thing that gives you an overall look on all the authors and what they’re releasing in case you don’t want to read through all the stuff I wrote.

Anticipated Releases: 2018

It’s 2018, and a new year means a whole new load of books to be excited for!

I’ve decided to compile a list of my most anticipated releases of 2018 because I normally don’t do monthly anticipated releases.

(All the synopses in this point are taken directly from Goodreads.)

(There are some spoilers as some of these books are part of a series. I put spoiler warnings before their synopses and provided a drop down so the summaries are hidden unless you click on the drop down.)

Spring 2017 Anticipated Releases

Spring is already here. Winter seemed a bit too short for me. I don’t know about you guys, but living in the southern states of the US means that our winters are short and are summers are really long. Heck, spring weather started coming in the middle of last month.

I don’t have a lot of anticipated releases this spring so I decided to just compile them all into one post.

All the synopses are from Goodreads.
