Top 20 Books of 2020

My Top Books of 2020

Happy New Year (and thank goodness 2020 is over)! We have a tradition on this blog to showcase the top 10 books that I read every year. However, this year I wanted to do something different. Since it was 2020, I wanted to list my top 20 books instead of my top 10. It just has a better ring to it. However, I haven’t read that many novels this year, so I decided to split it into my top 10 books and my top 10 graphic novels. I read a lot of comics (although I don’t review them that much), so it’s only fair that I include them on the list.

Let’s Talk: Favorite Book/Series

I’ll be honest: I don’t have a lot of non-internet friends that like to read. That means I don’t have a lot of people to talk to face-to-face about books, which is the whole reason why I started this blog. That being said, I’ve been wondering what everyone’s favorite book/series is and why, because I’ve been thinking about expanding my horizons and reading something I wouldn’t normally pick up (or maybe something I would read but never knew existed). Also, I’m going down the rabbit hole and trying to expand my TBR list to combat my ongoing TBR cleanse.

So now I ask: What is your favorite book or series and why?

The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

THE END IS NIGH! Well… the end of the first half of the year has come. What better way to celebrate surviving six months of the eventful year we call 2019 than with a mid-year book freak out tag?

Ever since classes ended and summer has started, I’ve been trying to catch up with some reading. I’ve definitely read a lot more for fun this month than I have in the past. Most of the books I’ve read so far were for English class. We read A TON. Some were amazing. Some… not so much.

I was tagged by Norees from No Reads Too Great. Thank you so much for tagging me! I was having trouble thinking of what I wanted to write so this saved my day!

It should also be noted that I took the route than Norees did and answered only five of the many, many questions in this tag. If you want to do the full tag, I listed all the questions at the bottom of this post.

Best Bookish Feelings

Yesterday’s post was a big cringe-y so I decided to also make a second post about the opposite side of the feeling spectrum, which is the best bookish feelings ever!

Also, on a totally unrelated note, I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday doing some Christmas book shopping for my sister and checking out their annual signed book collection. I couldn’t find one of the books my sister asked for so I asked one of the workers there and while he was looking it up he started talking about how he didn’t like Harry Potter. It’s safe to say I was a little aghast because I can’t understand how someone could not like Harry Potter.
