Grace and Glory Cover Reveal a.k.a. when a book cover is more photogenic than I am

Good morning/afternoon/evening/whatever time of day it is right now! If you’re new here, you might not know that Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite authors. I believe she’s the most-reviewed author on this blog at the time I’m writing this.

So you might have guessed how excited I was when I saw that the Grace and Glory (a.k.a the last book in The Harbinger trilogy) cover was revealed today!

A Court of Silver Flames (ACOTAR #4) Cover Reveal!

I know I don’t normally post on Thursdays, but I had to break up the regular schedule to bring you some stunning bookish news!

This is no longer the (temporary) cover for ACOSF on Goodreads!

The cover of A Court of Silver Flames (a.k.a. the fourth book in the ACOTAR series a.k.a. the start of the ACOTAR sequel series a.k.a. the start of Nesta’s story) was revealed today on Goodreads, and it is surprisingly different than I expected!

MORE THRONE OF GLASS AND ACOTAR!?! (and EOS back cover reveal)

I was just idly scrolling through Tumblr yesterday when something caught my eye. Apparently, Sarah J. Maas is adding onto the Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses series! (Click here to read the article)

Funny enough, I was talking to my friend about what we were going to do after the TOG and ACOTAR series were finished, and then we stopped talking about it because we wanted to avoid the feels.

But now, we don´t have to feel sad because there is going to be more. THE END IS NAY!

Apparently, after the Throne of Glass series is finished (*sniff*), there’s going to be two new additions to the series. One is going to be a novella about Chaol while the other is going to be “the ultimate guide to the Throne of Glass series and the world of Erilea, including an illustrated compendium of characters, settings, magic, gods, politics, creatures, and vocabulary, plus a timeline of events.”

As for the A Court of Thorns and Roses series (which is going to be a trilogy), there’s going to be six new additions after the series is completed. What those six new additions are going to be, I don’t know. I’m pretty sure there are going to be novellas and maybe even a compendium for the ACOTAR world. Who knows?

Anyway, along with the that news, the back cover of Empire of Storms (the fifth book) was released on Amazon yesterday.

(I inserted a “continue reading” button because the images in the post are very large and it would be tiresome to scroll through.)

A Conjuring of Light Cover Reveal!!

I saw on Twitter this morning that the cover of the third book of the A Darker Shade of Magic series by V. E. Schwab was released!

It’s GORGEOUS! (Like the rest of the series)

JUST LOOK AT IT!

*drools*

I have no guesses on what this cover means because I STILL haven’t finished the second book yet. Yes, I’ve been reading A Gathering of Shadows for a couple months now. MONTHS.

Either way, I super excited for this book and seeing this cover just renewed my excitement.

I CAN’T FREAKING WAIT FOR THIS BOOK TO COME OUT!

The book cover of A Torch Against the Night (the second book in the An Ember in the Ashes series) has been released!

In my opinion, it’s not as beautiful as the An Ember in the Ashes, but it’s still super gorgeous!  ❤

Entertainment Weekly has written a post in honor of the long awaited (am I the only one who was curious what the cover was going to look like for the longest time?) cover reveal, and it contains a little excerpt from the book.

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: Name your least favorite plot device employed by way too many books that you actually enjoyed, otherwise.

It’s not like I don’t like love triangles, but I don’t think they’re done well enough in many books. I don’t mean to sound offensive or anything, but so many young adult novels (namely contemporary and fantasy, the two genres I read the most) have love triangles in it that I’m getting tired of reading the same problem over and over again.

However, if it’s done right, like the Infernal Devices trilogy, I’m okay with it.

Anyway, why is it called a love triangle anyway? If it’s two guys loving the same girl, the only way it would be a triangle would be if the guys like each other too. Otherwise, it should be called a love angle. Acute one, to be exact. (Heh. You get it? Because, you know, acute angle. A cute angle. No? Yeah, I haven’t done math in a while either.)

Overall, I don’t hate love triangles. It’s just overused and not done right a lot of the time. It’s like a half-cooked potato.

Until next time….
