The book cover of A Torch Against the Night (the second book in the An Ember in the Ashes series) has been released!

In my opinion, it’s not as beautiful as the An Ember in the Ashes, but it’s still super gorgeous! ❤
Entertainment Weekly has written a post in honor of the long awaited (am I the only one who was curious what the cover was going to look like for the longest time?) cover reveal, and it contains a little excerpt from the book.

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: Name your least favorite plot device employed by way too many books that you actually enjoyed, otherwise.
It’s not like I don’t like love triangles, but I don’t think they’re done well enough in many books. I don’t mean to sound offensive or anything, but so many young adult novels (namely contemporary and fantasy, the two genres I read the most) have love triangles in it that I’m getting tired of reading the same problem over and over again.
However, if it’s done right, like the Infernal Devices trilogy, I’m okay with it.
Anyway, why is it called a love triangle anyway? If it’s two guys loving the same girl, the only way it would be a triangle would be if the guys like each other too. Otherwise, it should be called a love angle. Acute one, to be exact. (Heh. You get it? Because, you know, acute angle. A cute angle. No? Yeah, I haven’t done math in a while either.)
Overall, I don’t hate love triangles. It’s just overused and not done right a lot of the time. It’s like a half-cooked potato.

Until next time….
