TBR Cleanse – Kick or Keep? Pt. 8

I can’t wait to be done cleaning out my TBR… It’s so long that this series will take a while. I might start doing 20 books at a time instead of ten. Or maybe I’ll comprise a post about all the books I kick out of my TBR. I dunno. I’ll think about it later.

Regardless of what I’m going to do in the future, I’m excited to revisit these next 10 books in the list to see if they’ll make the cut.

Here are the rules to the “cleanse”:

  1. Choose the first 10 books in your TBR list.
  2. Read the blurb.
  3. Decide whether to keep it or “kick” it out of the list.
  4. Repeat with the next 10 books every week until you go through the whole list.

(All the blurbs were taken from Goodreads.)

TBR Cleanse – Kick or Keep? Pt. 7

I’ll admit it. I definitely dropped the ball on this one. It was my own little personal project to make sure that my TBR was especially tailored to me, meaning that I had to get rid of the books that I no longer had interest in that has been sitting in my TBR for months or maybe even years.

That being said, I’m ready to get back on track. I’m just going to start where I left off.

I was going to say that I’m half way through this TBR cleanse but then I realized I did my math wrong and I’m no where close to half way through. Yikes. It’ll probably be 2019 by the time I’m finished with this series.

TBR Cleanse – Kick or Keep? Pt. 2

This is week 2 of my adventure of cleaning out my TBR to really tailor it to my preferences. I’m not sure how long this is going to take at the rate I’m going, but I hope to be done cleaning out my TBR by the end of this year. We’ll see if that happens.

TBR Cleanse – Kick or Keep? Pt. 1

Recently, I’ve been seeing a couple people going through their TBR on Goodreads and deciding which books to keep and which books to take out as a sort of “clean-up”. Over the years, I’ve been adding books to my TBR but sometimes never get to them or lose interest, but I’ve been too lazy to actually take them out of my TBR shelf. I’m hoping by doing this cleanse I’ll clean up my TBR list and reintroduce myself to some of the older books on the shelf.

There are many different ways other people did this “cleanse”, but this is the way I’m going to do it:

  1. Choose the first 10 books in your TBR list.
  2. Read the blurb.
  3. Decide whether to keep it or “kick” it out of the list.
  4. Repeat with the next 10 books every week until you go through the whole list.
