The North Texas Teen Book Festival was Overwhelming but Fun #nttbf17

So, I went to the North Texas Teen Book Festival for the first time Saturday and I have to admit, it was pretty exciting. The only other book festival I went to before was the Texas Teen Book Festival and that didn’t hold a spark compared to this one. I read a lot of YA fantasy and sci-fi, and a reoccurring theme is that the main character  either only has one parent (most of the time a mom) or have no parents at all. So finding father/fatherly figures for this meme was actually a lot more difficult than I expected it to be. Some of these father’s have already passed away before the story started but I’m still going to include them in because of the lasting image they left of the character(s).

Series I’m Not Going to Finish

I don’t like leaving things unresolved. This includes series. I hate not finishing a series. Unless I don’t really give a crap about any part of the story, then to some degree, I want to know how the conflict in the story was resolved.

However, there are some series I won’t be finishing. The reason might be that I don’t care for the story, or that it’s not at the top of my TBR and will probably never get to it. I’m still open to finishing some of these series, but I’ll most likely not get to them.

This isn’t an exhaustive list of the series I’m not going to finish, but the main ones.
