Identity Crisis Book Tag

Hello! I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve been on the blogosphere.

Over the end of the summer, I scheduled a whole bunch of book reviews to tide me over into the first month of college. I just wanted to make sure I got acclimated to my new environment, and I didn’t want to add onto the already pretty rigorous workload (at least for the first month). Now I’m back, and I’ve been tagged by Norees @ No Reads Too Great and The Orangutan Librarian to do this tag! Please, please, please check out their blogs because they are both very lovely folks who make some pretty interesting content!

THE RULES:

  1. Take all the quizzes down below and record your answers.
  2. NO CHEATING. You get one shot to take each quiz.
  3. Give credit to the creator Loretta @ The Laughing Listener or tag her on twitter @LaughnListener so she can see everyone’s answers!!
  4. Tag some friends to spread the fun!

I’m always down to try some bookish quizzes to further procrastinate on my homework assignments, and this tag gives me an excuse to do so so let’s do it!

[Also, a fair warning: I have either not read a lot of these/it’s been a while since I’ve read a book in this series, so I’m not going to know a lot of characters that have been chosen.]

Let’s Talk: Favorite Book/Series

I’ll be honest: I don’t have a lot of non-internet friends that like to read. That means I don’t have a lot of people to talk to face-to-face about books, which is the whole reason why I started this blog. That being said, I’ve been wondering what everyone’s favorite book/series is and why, because I’ve been thinking about expanding my horizons and reading something I wouldn’t normally pick up (or maybe something I would read but never knew existed). Also, I’m going down the rabbit hole and trying to expand my TBR list to combat my ongoing TBR cleanse.

So now I ask: What is your favorite book or series and why?

All the Series Ever (Read, Reading, To Be Read) Tag

image

I was tagged by the lovely Aralyn over at Paper Addictions & Magic. Thanks so much for tagging me! I was looking for a good tag to do, and Aralyn just gave me one.

This tag was created by Fadwa over at Word Wonders.

The only rule that goes with this tag is that you write down whatever comes to mind first when you think about a book series that you’ve either read, are reading, or going to read.

I will only consider a series “read” if I’ve read all the books in the series. This means unfinished series like Throne of Glass and The Dark Artifices will not be considered “read” (they would be considered “currently reading”). Although I believe novellas are a part of a series, I will not include them in this tag.

Series I Need to Finish

There are a lot of series that I need to finish, and all of them are series that have been finished for a long time. Most of these series, I just need to finish the last book. Others, I need to finish two books before I finish the series. I love all of these series, but I have no idea WHY I HAVEN’T FINISHED THEM ALREADY!

I’m going to try and finish all these series before the end of this year, but I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to. There’s so many, and so little time.

Series I’m Not Going to Finish

We all been here at one point in our lives. We live in denial and tell ourselves that one day, we’re going to finish that series. But alas, other books beckoned you to read them and you lost track of time. It’s months past now and you have no desire to continue the series. You still tell yourself that one day… ONE DAY you’ll get to the series again.

But you know, that never happened and now you’ve come to terms with it.

So… yeah.

Here’s the thing: I will normally finish a series, no matter how bad. Actually, I’ll normally finish the series because I don’t think it’s all that bad. I’m an easy-to-please reader. I don’t have many complaints (actually that’s a lie, but we’re going to just roll with it) for many books. You know the Delirium series? Well, I finished the whole series. Yes, it was not the best one out there, but I finished it without much complaint.

Call me crazy if you’d like, but I also finished the Fallen series (although that was a pain to get through).

Anyways, aside from all that, here are the series that I’m not going to finish.
