This meme is hosted by MizB @ Books and a Beat. Musing Mondays is a weekly meme that asks you to choose one of the following prompts to answer:
– I’m currently reading…
– Up next I think I’ll read…
– I bought the following book(s) in the past week…
– I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…
– I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…
– I can’t wait to get a copy of…
– I wish I could read ___, but…
– I blogged about ___ this past week…
After I finish reading The Hot Zone for biology and listening to The Sword of Summer, I want to start reading A Gathering of Shadows again. I’ve been reading that book for over a couple months now. I swear it’s a good book, but I just never seem to be in the mood to pick it up. My goal is to try and finish the book this month, but I’m not sure if I’m ever going to have time to read until school is over. Even during the summer, I have so many plans that I’m not sure if I can catch up on reading. Oh well. I hope I do.
THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: What is your favorite “comfort” read?
Aside from Harry Potter (because that would be an obvious answer), Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl gives me the warm, fuzzy feeling inside.
However, my all-time favorite comfort story is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I grew up with the story, and will continue to grow with it. Not only it remind me of my childhood, but also reminds me of the lesson of family and love.
